Best Accommodation When Travelling with Children. How to Choose?
Finally bought the next holiday tickets. The real question now is whether to get a hotel or an Airbnb? What suits us more? What's better for us? How to choose?
There is no one right answer for this question, it actually depends on the location and your personal preference, however, there are some factors that should be considered when comparing between the two options.Hotels
When we go to a hotel, we expect to find a certain amount of services which are provided to us as customers, certain level of cleanliness including clean towels, bed sheets, soaps, free hot & cold drinks and more in return for the money we paid. But, not all the hotels are the same, not all experiences in hotels are the same, not all hotels are situated in one area. In fact hotels are rated based on their location, cleanliness, services, food, rooms, etc...
Services in a hotel
When you're in a hotel, you don't usually pay for your kid if she/he is under two years of age.
In addition to this, when you're a hotel guest, you would most likely have a breakfast meal included in your price and you will absolutely have room services 24/7.
As for the location of the hotel, hotels are usually close to touristic points of interest, the closer they are, the more expensive their nightly rate is.Airbnb
Airbnb is actually a platform, where people can rent their places or rooms of it to other people. When one decides to get an Airbnb flat or room, it means they are going to experience travelling from a new perspective, both as a citizen and as a tourist.
What's the Deal
When one decides to get an Airbnb, they also decide to give up a room service, cleaning services and free breakfast but in exchange for that, they get a more private place, with their own kitchen, own beds and rooms.
And, when travelling with children, it is always possible to choose the most suitable flat/home, because you have more options like number of beds, rooms, area, stairs, playroom, private pool, car parking... and a direct relationship with the home/flat owner, so you can ask any question that comes to your mind. As with hotels, there are different types of Airbnb for both people looking for small home/ flats/ shared places and so people looking for luxurious villas. As for the price, usually Airbnb is cheaper than hotels as they don't provide any services while you're in.
So, What Do I Choose?
Cheaper option: Compare.
More space for the kids: Airbnb.
Not spending more money: All inclusive hotels.
Closer to attractions: Compare. Mostly hotels.
