#4 Smoked Turkey Breast
Once you make this recipe and enjoy its' perfect result in a sandwich or with a salad you will never ever buy these from the supermarkets again. And guess what? it lasts for 2 weeks in the fridge. So, what are you waiting for? do it.
Here's the recipe...
Step One
- Turkey Breast
- a medium sized pot filled with tap water.
- 1 Tbsp of Black pepper
- 1 Tbsp of Salt
- 0.5 Tbsp of Cumin
- 1 Tbsp of Mustard
- 1 tsp of English pepper
-
Ice cubes
add all of the above ingredients to the pot with the water and put it on the stove and let it come to a boil. Once it does, take it off heat and let it cool whilst adding ice cubes to a level where you can put your finger inside. Next thing you do is put the Turkey Breast inside, cover with plastic wrap and tuck it in the fridge for at least 6 hours.
Step Two
Now, it's time we actually rub the Turkey with the taste we love the most (I'll share two with you) and put it in the smoker. But before we do any of that, we need to get the pot out of the fridge, get rid of the water, rinse the Turkey under cold water and dry it with paper towels. And now, you can add the sauce. Next thing is to put in the bottom rack of the smoker until it reaches the temperature of 76C. That's when you get it out, let it rest for an two hours covered in aluminum foil.
Sauce 1: Spicy blend of Peppers.
- 1.5 cup of black pepper
- 0.5 cup of spicy paprika
- 0.5 cup of crushed 4 seasons pepper
put all the spices on a big tray and roll the turkey above it, until it's heavily and perfectly covered with peppers all over.
Sauce 2: Sweet Sauce
- 1 cup of bbq sauce
- 1/3 cup of Honey
- 2 Tbsp of Mustard
- 1 tsp of Sweet paprika
- 1 Tbsp of Garlic powder
- pinch of salt and pepper
Mix all ingredients, and using a cooking brush, heavily cover the Turkey with the sauce.
